Wheeleo® is a new-generation mobility device for people who have difficulty walking and standing. Combining a rollator with a cane, the Wheeleo® has 4 key features that enhance a person’s independence, safety and mobility.

– One-handed. You only need one hand to get the support you need. The other hand is free to open doors, call loved ones or hold a bag.

– Elegant design. The compact, convertible design lets you fit into tight spaces or carry it in your suitcase. Its elegant look will make you stand out from the crowd.

– Press continuously. No need to lift the device, thanks to 4 wheels always in contact with the ground. Wheeleo® allows you to move with a continuous flow. Endless support, without you even realizing it.

– Dynamic braking. Wheeleo® offers safety in stable and unstable moments. Risk of falling? Considerably weak. The absence of brakes makes for smooth running.

The Wheeleo® has no brakes and, more importantly, doesn’t need them. The device is easily controlled, allowing the person to stop and walk at the desired pace.

Thanks to its rolling design, the Wheeleo® will always be placed in the right position for its user. When balance is lost, the user automatically positions the Wheeleo® in the most comfortable position, without lifting it. Adding brakes would be like replacing the Wheeleo® with an ordinary cane, as the brakes would block the wheels. As a result, the Wheeleo® could tip over and the user could fall.
That’s why Wheeleo® offers greater stability when walking.

No. To move the Wheeleo® sideways, a lateral movement is required. If you make the same movement with a conventional cane, it will tip over and fall. The Wheeleo® will move without tipping over. It positions itself where the user needs it most to maintain balance. If you stumble, you’ll naturally position your hands to catch yourself. It’s exactly the same with Wheeleo®.

Wheeleo® is designed for indoor and outdoor use on flat surfaces. So it’s important to pay attention to soil quality. Wheeleo® can be used in many parks, shopping centers, parking lots and sidewalks. It’s important that the wheels can turn freely. The size of the wheels makes it possible to overcome small obstacles. For larger obstacles or places where the wheels cannot turn freely, simply lift the Wheeleo®.

Since 1/1/2024, Wheeleo® has been reimbursed in Brussels (but not yet in Wallonia and Flanders). On the other hand, the AVIQ in Wallonia and PHARE in Brussels offer financial assistance for the purchase of the Wheeleo®. In both cases, you must be in good standing and under 65 to be eligible. It is advisable to contact these organizations for the latest information. Don’t hesitate to ask your insurance company.
